Parking at the Storrs Campus
There are two parking garages on campus. The first is the South Garage which is adjacent to the Harry A. Gampel Pavilion on Jim Calhoun Way. The second is the North Garage which is located at the intersection of North Eagleville and Hillside Roads, across from the Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts. The garages are about one-quarter mile apart.
Garage parking will be provided at no charge throughout the weekend (Saturday, May 4 – Sunday, May 5) and handicap parking will be available in both garages on a first-come, first-served basis. No charge parking in both garages will also be available on Monday, May 6.
GPS users should use one of the following addresses to locate their chosen parking garage, but please know that the campus entrance located on Route 44 is recommended for all Commencement-related events.
North Parking Garage – 103 North Eagleville Road, Storrs, CT 06269
South Parking Garage – 505 Jim Calhoun Way, Storrs, CT 06269
On Saturday, May 4 and Sunday, May 5 (only), no charge surface lot parking will also be provided to Commencement event attendees on select surface parking lots.
Shuttle Bus Service
Shuttle buses will run on Sat. May 4, Sun. May 5, and Mon. May 6. Please visit this website for detailed pictures of the routes. Shuttles will stop at points close by to all three of our Commencement venues. If you park in one of our perimeter lots (Lot C, F, K, or S), please feel free to utilize this shuttle bus service.
Accessible Van Service
Accessible Van Service will be available upon request on Sat. May 4, Sun. May 5, and Mon. May 6. Please make reservations in advance. To make a reservation, please call (860) 486-4991. This service is available to transport guests needing assistance from their parking lots to the ceremony venues.
