Accommodations for Guests with Disabilities

Our venues are all well equipped to welcome guests who need accommodations. Please see below a listing of accommodations available within each of our venues.

Harry A. Gampel Pavilion—

  • Reserved area for wheelchair users on concourse level (all entrances to the Pavilion are accessible). This seating is available on a first come first served basis. Upon entry, as a member of the event staff in yellow jackets to point you to this seating area. One person from the party may sit with the guest in the wheelchair. Remaining members of the party must go into general guest seating.
  • Modified restroom facilities
  • Remote ASL interpreting and CART services available at all ceremonies
  • Handicapped parking is available across the street in the South Garage

Jorgensen Auditorium—

  • Handicapped seating is available on the main level of the Auditorium.  Wheelchair accessible rest rooms are located in the Jorgensen Lower Lobby. Elevator service is available from the Jorgensen Main Lobby to the Lower Lobby only. There is no elevator service to seats in the mezzanine or lower and upper balconies.
  • Remote ASL interpreting and CART services available at all ceremonies
  • Assistive Listening System – Available free of charge from the Front Office.
  • Handicapped parking is available in the North Garage.

    Student Union Theater—

    • Handicapped seating is available on the main floor of the SU Theater (all entrances to the Student Union are accessible).
    • Modified restroom facilities
    • Remote ASL interpreting and CART services available at all ceremonies
    • Handicapped parking is available in the North and South Parking Garages

    If you need to request disability accommodations above and beyond seating for those who use a wheelchair/walker/crutches/scooter, please reach out to the appropriate contact person for the ceremony you will be attending by Friday, April 26, 2024.     Accessible Van Service

    Accessible Van Service will be available upon request on Sat. May 4, Sun. May 5, and Mon. May 6. Please make reservations in advance. To make a reservation, please call (860) 486-4991. This service is available to transport guests needing assistance from their parking lots to the ceremony venues.
